Learning about equality

The children have been learning about equality, fairness, diversity and tolerance. They’ve been learning about inspirational people who have made a difference in the world including: Nelson Mandela, Emmeline Pankhurst, Martin Luther King and Malala Yousafzai. The focus is on making links with our own lives in terms of mission; to be able to speak out or campaign against unfairness and injustice.  Jesus is our prime example and we aim to follow in his footsteps learning from what he did and said. We know that we are all different, unique and equally valuable in the world and that it is important to talk and think about issues of fairness in our own lives and the wider world.
