What is the SBM Network?
The Diocese of Westminster has established an SBM Network, enabling peer to peer and diocesan support to professionals involved in the running of Catholic Schools and Academies in the Diocese of Westminster.
The DoW SBM Network Coordinator is currently Teresa Doyle
DfE’s SBP Network – The DoW SBM Network is registered with the Department for Education’s School Business Professional (SBP) Network, and is part of the North West London and South Central RSC region. The SBP Network has links to speakers and government initiatives, fostering best practice.
ISBL – The DoW SBM Network is also registered with the ISBL, entitling you to membership and national conference discounts! Find out more under ISBL.
The DoW SBM Network currently holds twice-yearly forums, meeting at Vaughan House, with expert speakers covering various different aspects of school life e.g. HR issues, data protection, insurance risks, procurement…
If you would like to be involved in the SBM Network and receive invites to the forums, plus useful email updates and materials, then please email the SBM Network coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you have an idea you’d like to share? Perhaps you’ve had a successful scheme that has worked really well, for example, a breakfast club. If so, let us know and take ten minutes to share it at one of the SBM forums!
Who is ISBL? The Institute of School Business Leadership is the professional body for school business professionals (FDs, SBMs, bursars etc.).
The ISBL exists to support school business professionals, providing CPD programmes, specialist training, policy updates, guidance, and much more. It also engages and works to influence the DfE, researches sector changes and sets and monitors professional standards.
